Sensi seeds is a distinguished cannabis seed bank that has grown into a central pillar in the cannabis sector over the years. With branches stretching outside cannabis breeding, the company is also involved in advancing industrial hemp. Sensi seeds have a rich history that all begins with Ben Dronkers, who founded the company. When he started growing cannabis back in the '70s, his interest in gaining knowledge on cannabis grew. He would work closely with farmers, researchers and botanists in a bid to understand the plant better. He concluded that despite the care or skill in place, a strain's potential for growth is determined by its core genetic quality.

Dronkers applied this knowledge during his worldwide expedition in which he collected and recorded cannabis from various countries. In the '80s, he visited countries renowned for cannabis cultivation and managed high-quality Sativa and Indica seeds, forming a critical foundation of Sensi seeds. With the collected seeds in hand, he proceeded to cross various strains to produce new varieties of cannabis.

During the same period, he was amongst the first Dutch breeders that acquired US hybrid strains. It would further improve his knowledge in the field and provide new genetics for his breeding program. He came up with the Sensi seed club in 1985, intending to centralize growing and streamlining the whole process. It drove Dronkers to officially obtain facilities due to the need for a more extensive working area to grow and monitor his various cannabis strains.

In 1986, Sensi seeds established its first seed shop in Amsterdam, where it supplied its genetics alongside those from The Seed Bank, a company it would later acquire. Sensi seeds have searched for world-class genetics since then and used in innovation. Among the most outstanding results include Skunk#1 Mother's finest, master Kush and Big bud. Dronkers would later purchase the Flying Dutchman seed bank, adding to Sensi's genetic pool.

Sensi seeds are currently amongst the most reputable, responsible and well-informed seed banks available. They have consistently pushed cannabis breeding beyond the known limits and offer a wide range of great strains. They were initially located in Amsterdam but have since expanded to Spain at the Gothic quarter of Barcelona.
