Growing your own Critical Orange Punch cannabis plant
Critical Orange Punch can produce a high yield in a short period of time. The plants with the most hybrid appearance will give the highest yields with large heavy buds. These are on average 500 to 600g/m² and if you have some experience in growing cannabis, then 600g/m² is not out of the question, but dedication is required.
Grown outdoors, this lady is also very generous and will probably give you 1 to 2 kg per plant. For this she needs sufficient soil of good quality and sufficient daily sun. It will become a round, bushy plant that may reach a height of 2.5 to 3 m and probably the same width. Even in smaller pots she can yield hundreds of grams per plant if you have a good late summer.
When does your plant start to bloom?
Critical Orange Punch is, for a hybrid strain, a fast bloomer as her blooming phase lasts only about 8 weeks. Obviously this will vary by phenotype and one may bloom a week earlier or slower than the other.
During her flowering phase, this lady will continue to grow for about 2 to 3 weeks and she will get the biggest growth spurt in the first week of a 12/12 light schedule. From week 2 you will notice that the buds appear and already after 3 to 4 weeks the plants are covered with white trichomes and the growing of the buds can finally begin!
How will the Critical Orange Punch cannabis taste?
Due to her extensive genetic lineage, Critical Orange Punch has a very complex terpene profile. She is an explosion of delicious, tropical-smelling citrusy terpenes. Orange, tangerine and lemon are the 3 scents and flavors that make her a real fruit bomb. You will taste a wonderfully fresh, fruity and often creamy taste that will make you happy.
Some phenotypes will bring out the Kush heritage of this strain, making you experience more berry and earthy flavors on both, the inhale and the exhale.
What effect does the Critical Orange Punch give?
It should not surprise you that you will experience a happy, energetic and relaxed feeling from this strain. The more Sativa-leaning phenotypes give a particularly euphoric and uplifting high. Critical Orange Punch is easy to smoke during the day because of the hybrid effect of the high. A strong “body stone” is not excluded, but then with the more Indica dominant phenotypes that in many cases smell and taste a bit more earthy, more hasty and slightly less fruity.
